3. I thought the GOP called it "Nancy Reagan red"???
The two times I ran for office here, I wore red nearly all the time. If not a red suit, then a red blouse with the suit. My signs were either red and white or red, white and blue. Drove the GOP nuts!!!

Also, I'm tall (5'10") so when I debated my opponent I wore high heels. I'm slim and, let's face it, visuals are important.

Unfortunately, I didn't win either election but I won nearly 70% of my very Republican precinct. They thought well of me, even though I was "one of them". But the long time residents are GOP through and through and they also wouldn't vote for an "outsider".

But I shook up the races, got the Democratic ticket talked about, learned a lot, and had a good time.

5. Good on you for running!
Sorry the elections didn't turn out your way, but it certainly couldn't have been because of image!

Glad it was a positive experience for you in spite of the outcomes.

4. I always called it Republican Red. We won't even buy a red car.
Both ladies look great in red.
