Cops descend on home of Yale lab technician eyed in murder of student Annie Le

A swarm of cops has descended on the home of a Yale animal research technician who worked with murdered grad student Annie Le.

Public records show the lab tech lives in a first-floor apartment at the complex in Middletown, about 20 miles from the Yale, The Associated Press reports.

Police parked outside the Wharfside Commons apartment complex would not confirm they were there to investigate the Le killing. A man answering the door there said the lab tech wasn't at home and closed the door.

Cops say the tech is not in custody.

Police zeroed in on the man several days ago, after he failed lie detector tests and had scratches on his chest that suggest he was in a struggle.

Cops and FBI agents interviewed the suspect several times. At one point he stopped answering questions and asked for a lawyer, the New Haven Register reported.

1. Boy ...either you, or the ASS Press has this story SO WRONG!!

I live in Ct. and watch the local news. I saw the cops drive off with the guy they had TWO search warrants for (on the 11 P.M. news) One warrant was for his house, and the other for his "person"! They drove off with him in the police car, and are going to do DNA tests, etc. on him. He has scratches on his chest, and will check his fingernails for her DNA. If he co-operates with the police, they "said" they will release him. If he doesn't they WILL book him for resisting a police officer. He is lawyered up, and was living in the apt. they searched with his FIANCE!!! They even gave his name. I saw him in the police car!! So much with some guy answering the door saying that he wasn't home!! Jerks that write the news now a days have no business in the business!!!

3. It is such a sad story. She must have been a really brilliant

person to go to Yale on a MD/PhD. Very few people get accepted into those kind of programs, and in Yale requirements must have been through the roof.
