The whole missile defense in Eastern Europe issue..

Uh this started out as a way to shield Eastern Europe from Iranian missiles.. of course we all KNOW that was NEVER the reason for this program..

1) The Poles and Czechs wanted it for all the money placing bases in there country would bring..

2) The Poles and Czechs also wanted it as a tweak to the Russians who they are a bit paranoid about ( not with out some good reason)..

3) The Bushies saw it as a way to give business to their defense industry buddies.. knowing the democrats would be to cowardly to dare criticize it..

NO ONE actually thought on EITHER side it was REALLY for defense against Iranian missles..

NOW Obama comes along and tries to ACTUALLY set up a missile defense that COULD be used for the purpose to stop Iranian missiles and he gets hell from all sides.. the Poles and Czechs will not get the money or tweaks at the Russians.. and the Republicans get to critize we are soft on the Russians even though in theory this was never suppose to be about the Russians, but about Iran.. and so far the media is falling behind the Republican line..
