According to Huff Post, there is an insane killer on the loose in my neighborhood. |
|
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/09/19/phillips-arnold-paul-insa_n_292135.htmlStrangely, he looks like he would blend right in with some of the residents of my neighborhood.

3. They're investigating WHY. I was just scanning a story on a local |
|
TV station's website, and read where they waited for two hours before notifying anybody he'd escaped.

2. Wow -- for some reason I thought they had apprehended him, but you'd |
|
certainly know better than I. (I wonder who I was thinking of). The story is just bizarre. Keep on your toes!

5. Maybe you were thinking of the one in Chicago. |
|
A career criminal overpowered two deputies while he was being transported. He escaped, robbed a bank, stole a car. He was apprehended in the western suburbs.
I am having a hard time with this one, too. The guy was only a little over five feet tall and weighed 150 pounds. How did he overpower two armed guards?

8. Yeah -- that's the one -- I remember the robbing the bank part. |
|
I think it's the calibre of the guards, maybe. I think it's pretty much a minimum-wage (or close to it) job.

6. We live in the Seattle area and it was on the local news |
|
WTF are they doing taking field trips? Are you kidding me.... http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2009897252_escape19.htmlIf the courts find them insane and don't sentence them to death or life in prison so for good behavior they get field trips? He's a murderer and shouldn't see the light of day.

7. Yep that's not guilty by reason of insanity verdict for you. |
|
It isn't the first time he escaped either.

10. There are a great number of regulations on institutions for the not-sane, |
|
all set up by politicians, which should give you some idea how well they work. The CEO of the hospital where I worked had to appear at a public hearing within a specified time after a patient died supposedlu due to failure of the hospital to follow preceedures in separating violently abusive patients away from those they have already victimized. A patient was killed by another who should have been moved to a different ward and was not by executive order despite pleas by the victims family.
SO - the CEO went to the public meeting with the XO and chief of Nursing, sat behind a desk on a stage and stated that the incident in question was covered under HIPPA privacy law and he would not answer any questions about it. The 3 hospoital execs sat there for 45 minutes with out a further word, then got up and left.
He later got fired for being drunk on the job - a lot - if I am correctly informed. We also had a chief Psychiatrist fired for beating his wife repeatedly, and a new chief psychiatrist who is frequently drunk and occasionally exposes himself at work.
I no longer work for the state, or anywhere else for that matter.
