Green Bay Prison Lockdown Surpasses 9 Weeks
Source: AP

A lockdown at the Green Bay Correctional Institution has already lasted nine weeks -- and it's expected to continue for another few weeks.

John Dipko is a spokesman for the state Department of Corrections. He says restrictions have been eased gradually, and should be completely lifted in late April or early May.

According to documents released through an open-records request by the Green Bay Press-Gazette, inmates wanted wage increases and smoking privileges among other demands.
