CNN's Toobin: "Dems are incompetent questioners." (Gonzales)
Edited on Sun Apr-15-07 11:40 AM by Texas Explorer
And Koppel: "(Leahy) was screaming about this being equated to the missing 18 minutes of tape in the Nixon" scandal.

Fucking shills.

Toobin went on to say that the only way we lose Gonzales is if the Republics bail and that the bleeding of support by Republics, with regard to Gonzales, has ended.

Seen on Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer just now.

1. I just heard that remark and IMO,
it is utter bullshit. Leahy is a former prosecutor who appears to have a lot of courtroom experience. I have watched him lay a foundation and stick it to witnesses over and over. And, IMO, I think I know of what I speak: I am a retired atty with a lot of trial experience. I can clearly see who can and cannot question. What? This idiot thinks some Repuke like Inhofe knows how to question a witness?

GMAFB!

2. We'll see. The hearings haven't begun yet. I don't trust Wolf Blitzer

to thaw a frozen pizza, nevermind conduct a sentient interview. Andrea Koppel has long ago tossed objective analysis overboard in her quest to be the new Leni Riefenstahl.

I think the questions our Senators have for Mr. Gonzales will be well within the strike zone and most of them right over the plate.

Let's see how Gonzales does with his ANSWERS.

3. I saw that and my jaw dropped at the level of stupidity displayed -
The Democrats are horrible at asking questions, they like to TALK more than they like to ask questions -

What an effing' asswipe!

5. Jeffrey Toobin went over to the dark side along time ago...
However, I did not see the interview, so perhaps I am overreacting.

Nonetheless, I don't see Georgetown University constitutional scholar and Prof, Jonathan Turley playing down this scandal...

6. Did you like their loud assertions that the Dems are cowards and losers?
yeah, it looks like the president will "win" on this one, cuz "the bleeding has stopped." Ah, those poor wounded but powerful Republicans!

Hey, John--maybe the bleeding stopped because the horse is dead.

7. Wishful thinking by the bad guys
Such an obvious Cheney-style talking point.

They're floundering in their own bullshit.

8. There you go, they were all in agreement. Dems should pack it in.
Thank God that CNN wrapped up the upcoming week for us. Now we have no need to watch and/or listen.

12. Gonzales is already staked out telling lies on previous statements under oath
No amount of prepping him to testify before Congress now can square his previous testimony under oath with the facts we now have about his knowledge and participation in the US Attorney scandal.

MSM talking heads can shill all they want, but it is no great challenge to show the AG Gonzales lied under oath to Congress.

When pushed to vote on the record, Repubs would have no other choice than to vote against Gonzales.

That is why I believe Gonzales will be resigning, maybe before he is scheduled to testify again. If Repubs are smart, the best course of action would be for Gonzales to resign and allow the White House to fight his being called to testify before Congress in the Courts on the grounds of 'executive privilege.'

Otherwise, it is just going to get worse for Gonzales and the White House.
