Angry UC Students Hold 'Naked Rally'
Some UC Davis Attendees Hot Over Proposed Fee Increase

DAVIS, Calif. --
Some students at UC Davis who are hot over the rising costs of higher education took off their clothes for a "naked rally" Tuesday.

The students said they've been stripped of their rights to an accessible, quality public education.

They're hoping to draw attention to a proposed 30 percent fee increase across the UC system.

Some of the signs at the rally said "I'll put my pants on when Yudof resigns," "The Naked Truth: UC Thinks I'm A Ca$h Machine," and "Don't Strip the Student Body."

The "naked rally" in Davis is just the beginning of their planned protests.

Students, faculty and staff will be holding strikes and walkouts Thursday at all UC campuses.

6. I attended CSU-Sacramento in the early 70s for about $80

a semester. WOW how times have changed!!! $10 of the fee was for parking. I bet,now, $80 won't cover parking.

7. At UCLA, professors have been forced to take a pay cut...

graduate student funding is in the dumper (now, no funding guaranteed past third year of a PhD program; to top it off, Departments used to hire those who had completed their dissertation but didn't get a job on the market, but now the university has gotten rid of this, as well as all other lecturers at the end of the 09-10 academic year).

What Arnold has done to this state is a scandal, from higher education to infrastructure to public health and on and on.
