Anyone here know a lot about taxation as a science? |
|
We know some taxes work better than others, but I don't think anyone would want taxes to be 100% progressive or 100% regressive (or would they?)
Is a taxation specialist usually a statistician or a lawyer?

5. Whats a 100% progressive tax structure? |
|

I don't think it is objectively definable.
If it comes down to taxing 100% of income above 100K or something, one could argue that would suppress to growth of the economy and innovation. It could also cause deflation.
Its much easier to look on a micro level, and determine what measures are more or less progressive. To look at an entire structure may be impossible to objectively define in the first place
