Thank you Democrats for going on the OFFENSE. |
|
Not sure what held you back for so long, but it is good to see you eat repukes for breakfast. Maybe you were letting them dig their own graves, giving them a chance to save face, or were just too nice.
Please do not forget the hate and vile you are up against. Do not stop the frontal attack, even when you think they are dead. Like zombies they will come back looking for more flesh to eat seeking more profit and privatization. ATTACK daily on every issue. Do not let yourselves be on the defensive again. We are right, and we have the majority as decided by the American people.
Bury the repukes.

1. Grayson proved it is possible to change the frame. |
|
Too often, people say 'oh, it's the media's fault that the coverage is so skewed' BULLSHIT. The media is predictable and easy to handle. You have to MAKE a story, produce the attention-grabbing sound-bite and the media will follow. Grayson knows how to do it. I hope this is the beginning of a frontal attack on repukes.

5. First, if the media is so easy to handle, why aren't you making millions? |
|
Second, this is a classic case of people jumping the gun. If the narrative had played out differently, and we did this from the beginning, not only would we still be just about where we are today, but instead of trending in a positive direction when the rubber hits the road (expected Senate Finance Committee vote notwithstanding,) we'd be heading in the opposite direction. DU at-large didn't learn a thing from the 2008 election. People talk derisively about "keeping your powder dry," but it's actually a fairly sound strategy.

7. It could have been handled differently from the beginning. |
|
When the death panels and other fantasy smears started, the Dems backtracked and appeased the claims by changing the bills. When the 'illegal immigrants getting health care', the Dems changed the bill. Why? They capitulated, acting like they had done something wrong for a party that will never support the Dem agenda. It was bundled. They are on the right track now.
As for me making millions manipulating the media...give me time. I don't know anybody yet. You have to have access and a name.

8. ...except that we are looked at as the reasonable party in the debate. |
|
We've come to a point where by most accounts Democrats have given all they can give, and yet Republicans still won't budge. This creates an opening for said offensive and for ultimately getting a stronger public option through a reconciliation process (and yes, if we go the reconciliation route, the public option will have to be strong to survive a challenge.)

4. Rep. Grayson is kicking ass and taking no prisoners. |
|
Someone cut him loose to go on the attack. Lawrence O'Donnell was following suit this morning. It seems the Liberals have finally had enough of the repuke bullshit.

9. Nah. He did not get permission and he will not be supported. |
|
Reid and Pelosi will apologize on his behalf and probably hand the Repubs another gold-plated bone in the process.

6. Saw Grayson at OFA 9-12 Health Ins reform rally in Orlando |
|
He jumped out of the bus and lit up the arena. He is 100% behind public option. Used similar speech to fire up the crowd. What a relief to have an ass kicking truth teller...and from Florida no less. I liked him, but now I'll campaign for him...AG for senate? Love to take down Crist!

10. Grayson makes me long for the strong voices of the past. |

Strong, often lonely voices who took a stand.
