2. Montana is
for the detainees transferred from GITMO. There is a January 2010 deadline and the DOJ will be forced to find a place and will pay high dollar for their housing.

Also, most folks don't realize that there are serious gang problems in our prisons. The worst of the lot are generally shipped off to private prisons out of state.

The private prisons get to charge high dollar for the "worst of the offenders" - operating prisons is more profitable than hotels. You usually don't have to put the vacancy sign out and their rights don't really matter all that much, they don't vote.

4. Nope. That deal fell through, and someone in Hardin
Edited on Thu Oct-01-09 07:55 PM by HereSince1628
made an agreement with what turns out to be BLACKWATER/Xe operating under still another alias.

It was all over the 'internets' earlier today. I'm sure a google will take you to a beautiful graphic of the companies new logo complete with the imperial Russian double headed eagle.

Why would a legitimate company need to have so many aliases? Perhaps because they NEED aliases?

BTW, there actually is police department for Hardin MT.

6. Why would the feds give wack-jobs a contract when they wouldn't give it to a city?
Edited on Thu Oct-01-09 08:02 PM by HereSince1628
Perhaps because the government feels we need puppet police forces?

I'm praying that this is actually a hoax perpetrated on the left-roots.

This pic is brought to you by puppetgov.com

7. Look I will give you a link to a site where the paranoid libertians and
righties post about these type of things. You can go join them in their paranoid fears mongering.

Your response does not disprove the possibility I suggested. Your post just rambles on and on.

As I have tried to tell the paraonoid "we are in a police state" crowd that posts on that other board I - a police state would have occurred under bush, when he was perverting the constitution or ignoring it all together. Not under the administration where the president allows folks with loaded guns gather to protest him.

10. Well, it's one thing to protest the President with a loaded gun
It's quite another to deny the Max Baucus' friends in the private health insurance corporations their share of your money.

11. And that makes it a police state and confirms the paranoid about this

correctional facility how?

No one is denying the members of congress are bought and paid for by the corporations, but that does not make the USA a police state.

That actually confirms the GITMO deadline connection I made.

13. Oh sorry.
I'm slow in picking up on that - too much time spent arguing the same points to different folks who keep insisting the sky is falling.

Welcome to DU. :hi:

8. It's not a Blackwater/Xe group
It's a scam run by a felon with a history of schemes like this: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x6668993
