3. I have heard about this today

During the election she stated on Hardball (MSNBC) that the loyalty of Democrats to this country should be questioned. She also declared on the floor that there is no scientific evidence that global warming exists and that there is no scientific evidence that CO2 is harmful to humans. (Beside the fact that, if you fill a room with CO2, you probabaly wouldn't last 10 minutes).
Today, she actually claimed that the Democrats were going to put Sex Clinics in schools and allow 13 year-old girls to have abortions without parental consent. Believe me, I am no fan of abortion, but I believe that this is a decision between that person and God. I also have 2 daughters and if they became pregnant at 13 years of age, I would seriously consider taking them to the clinic myself.
The right-wing and particularly Bachman, beat their chests about abortion, but then do absolutely nothing to take care of these kids when they are born. Hell they don't even want to ensure that their mothers are provided healthcare.
I personally believe that elected officials should have to take idiot tests before running for office to make sure that they have a brain.

The sad thing is that abortion is probably the worst decision that anyone would have to make and I think that it would be very hard to hide from your parents anyway.
Another sad thing is that they try to hamper proper sex ed in schools, ie, the use of condoms, safe sex, the dangers of sexually transmitted diseases, etc. As I am sure you are aware, abstinence is a joke and when I was 12-18, I would have sawed off my right arm to appease my hormones.
It is unjust and un right for these people to honestly think that the teaching of abstinence is a good idea. There are too many dangers and too many bad decisions that teenagers can make with the wrong decisions and the wrong advice.
