12. Right down to the clothing choices. |

Sadly, that's how my mother dresses her Republican self, too. I've always been annoyed at my mother, an uninformed (though not pushy) conservative, for not caring a whit about politics. But seeing this woman makes me eternally grateful my mother is politically apathetic. Because that's exactly the kind of cultural misnomer she would put on a sign.

the Jesus that I know and follow. Jesus wouldn't have asked about pre-existing conditions before healing the sick. Jesus wouldn't cancel the policy of a sick person, refuse to treat them if they were uninsured or didn't have money upfront, or let people die while the fatcat insurance executives got rich off of it. Jesus wouldn't have any problem with ensuring that ALL people are cared for property regardless of the size of their wallets. Jesus wouldn't equate the moral worth of a person's life with their insurance status and the size of their wallets. Jesus would demand the fulfillment of the social contract. Jesus would kick the insurance executives and their lobbyists and bought-and-paid-for congressmen right out of the capital, then bring in the sick to be treated and cared for. And Jesus would weep upon seeing this kind of sentiment from someone who claimed to be his "follower."

Sorry, sir, but I have determined that your leprosy was a pre-existing condition. I'm afraid you're going to have to pony up some dough if you want to be healed. Go see the money-changers in the temple.
