Here's the first shot across the bow: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=111509

The U.S. Forest Service has banned the name of Jesus from decorations being assembled by children in Arizona for a blue spruce from the state that will become the Capitol Christmas Tree
this year, and a legal firm is challenging the censorship.

"Banning Christmas from the Capitol Christmas tree is just absurd. Christian students shouldn't be discriminated against for expressing their religious beliefs," said Jonathan Scruggs, litigation staff counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund.

"The First Amendment does not allow government officials to exclude schoolchildren's ornaments for the capitol's Christmas tree merely because they communicate a religious viewpoint," he said yesterday.

The organization has sent a letter to state and federal officials, including Arizona Gov. Janice Brewer, who are supervising the program, calling on them to stop enforcement of the prohibition.

Autumn brings certain things. The falling leaves, Halloween crap in every store, football, the MLB playoffs and the War on Christmas.

Especially the War On Christmas. More dependably scary for the Radical Right than even fear, death and tax increases, the WOC continues every freaking year.

Here we go again.

1. Ok troops, LISTEN UP
this year we need to get Rudolph... enough of that cute reindeer that is the creation of the May Company...

Oh and if you get the big one... there is a chocolate medal.

You know the drill.

Sergeant dismiss the troops.

2. Well, the kids could always use his real name, Yeshua (or Joshua)
Or they could put up X's for Xristos.

If they really wanted to be subversive. ;)

4. Because this was sent to a friend of mine, I did some checking
Arizona has been chosen to supply the national christmas tree this year, so Arizona school children are participating in the ornament making. Although the Weird Nuts Doily has links to the relevant sites with the alleged "No Jesus" rules, those rules contain nothing that I could find prohibiting religious or even political statements in/on the ornaments.

Once again, WND and ADF appear to be just making this shit up.

If anyone can find any USFS rules to the contrary, please post them.

8. You'll get Bunny Pajamas and like it, Boy!
You leave those nasty little ginger snaps for me and you want a rifle? Remember this... Peanut butter, chocolate chip, macadamia. Make sure your Mom bakes them soft. Don't cheat! I know those fake Pepperidge Farm paperweights anywhere. Suzie down the street leaves those. Nothing says buckshot in your stocking like good cookies.

Sincerely, Santa.

9. If they can ban the President from speaking in schools, we should be able to ban the church.
