1. I was going to post that the scene was the sickest display of self congratulations I've seen
Grassley even admitted that "after all that work I'm sure no one on my side is going to vote for it. But we appreciate the fair process."

2. I know. It was comical how sickening it was. They don't take their jobs seriously
except for Ron Wyden, I hope he wasn't clapping. He seemed pretty upset his amendment had to be withdrawn because CBO, "apparently", mis-scored it. When he heard that news, he immediately said that he is well aware of the special interests groups that are blocking real reform.

4. this is the most annoying thing about DC--the endless patting each other on the back
I remember watching the 9/11 Commission "questioning" Condi--they spent more time reviewing her resume and complimenting her than they did asking questions. I was yelling better questions at the TV screen.

There is no reason to applaud a jack off like Baucus.

5. This just makes the peasants angry. It is like screaming in their faces, "LET THEM FUCKING EAT CAKE!
People can be pushed pretty far, but they cannot be pushed forever.
