Has everyone called minority leader Boehner today?
John Boehner just issued a challenge.

Today, he told a reporter, "I'm still trying to find the first American to talk to who's in favor of the public option, other than a member of Congress or a member of the administration. I've not talked one and I get to a lot of places. I've not had anyone come up to me -- I know I'm inviting them -- and lobby for the public option. This is about as unpopular as a garlic milkshake."1

I'm emailing you today because you live in Ohio, and maybe even in Boehner's district. Thanks to you, Health Care for America Now is known in the media for responding quickly to events like this. Can you give him a call and tell him your an American and you support a public health insurance option?

Here's the number for Boehner's office in Washington:

(202) 225-6205

Give the office a call and say:

"I'm a real American from Ohio, and I support a public health insurance option. Congressman Boehner said he hasn't been able to find someone who supports the public option, so I'd like to speak with Congressman, introduce myself, and tell him why he should support it, too."

Thanks for proving Boehner wrong!

To your health,
Levana Layendecker

P.S. If you're on Twitter, you can talk to Boehner directly. Just twitter @GOPLeader. Here's a sample tweet:

@GOPLeader I'm an American and I support the public health insurance option. #p2 #sickofit

1. Done. Thanks!
As an Ohioan who is embarrassed by Boner every day, this call was a fun one to make!

2. No, but I sent him an email yesterday telling him I was available to 'talk' to him and his fellow
Republicans about my support for a public option. Anybody can email Boehner because hes the GOP 'leader'. I got an email thanking me for emailing him.

3. If the President will not lobby "our" side for the public option, why should we bother with the
enemies across the aisle? We know they will never support real reform, even the useless PO.
