"Using a wheelchair didn’t stop Cameron Aulner, 22, from being a hero.
Comcast employee, Aulner, was working a table at the front of the Westminster, CO Wal-mart when he saw a suspect grab and attempt to abduct a young girl. As the suspect tried to leave the store, Aulner didn’t thick twice but tackled the suspect and held him until the police could arrive and take over.
From KDVR.com:
Bystanders started yelling for help. But no one stopped the suspect, 34-year-old Kevin Salyers. Until something even more unusual happened.
"It was something that happened so fast, I didn't even think about it," Aulner said Tuesday. "I'm not a hero. I just did what you're supposed to do."
Aulner lost the use of his legs when he fell off a roof installing Christmas Lights. He said he played a little football before he got hurt and knew how to tackle.
"He just had this look of astonishment, he didn't know what hit him," Aulner said. Witnesses say Aulner helped hold Salyers down until police arrived.
