Any word from Ensign or the GOP leadership?

1. I'm hopeful that since this involves ethics laws violations, it'll be the last gasp

for him. I was assuming that he would waltz away, ignoring the tawdry story, and carry on as though nothing happened (a la Larry Craig).

4. McConnell said he does not have "any observations to make about the Ensign matter."

Which is basically the second time McConnell has danced away from Ensign. Back in July when questioned about the affair he said, "I think Sen. Ensign will have to speak to those issues himself."

I'm waiting to see what Conburn has to say. Sadly, he's been unavailable for comment today.
