1. Personally, I think if we really wanted to make him look like shit
we all should have faxed him and copied Pelosi. She could have then held up this big stack of faxes in front of Boehner in the house.

The phone calls do little more than piss him off....which isn't a bad thing either.

5. Wouldn't it be more productive to call blue dog Dems?
...As well as Nancy P. and Harry Reid and everybody else whose supposed to be on our side. I'll be happy to call him....but surely we know that Boner Boy is never gonna do the right thing. Ever. Nohow.

9. Aw, it's fun picking on him. Though you are right,
we should be calling the Blue Dogs, and I bet a lot of us on DU have, me included, many times.

:hi:

11. But not as much fun as hearing that his switchboard was swamped...
...by people he was pretending to want to find.

And we're standing by that until BONER says "Democratic Party" instead of "Democrat Party."

10. You can also
. . . add your name to this petition, designed to introduce him to "real" Americans who do, in fact, want legitimate reform.

Of course, they can present him with a list of thousands of names, but they can't make him take his head out of his arse and actually acknowledge it. :eyes:

12. I called his DC office this morning
and told the staffer that I'd heard Rep. Boehner say that he'd not spoken with any average American who supported the public option. I told him that I would be glad to speak with Rep. Boehner, and that I definitely supported a strong public option. I then gave a brief run-down of our own personal health care difficulties, and said that my preference was actually single payer. I offered to leave my phone number and contact information, so he could speak with a public option supporter, and was (of course) told to write him at republicanleader.house.gov, which I did. I included my cell phone #, and offered to provide documentation for my personal health care fiasco. I certainly don't expect that he'll ever read it, much less want my input, but I tried to very politely sound as though I believed his story of not believing people wanted a public option. I've saved my letter and am considering whether or not to send it to other senators or representatives. It's far from brilliant, but it's just proof of one more American who wants health care reform--not insurance reform.
