Thread to draft Rep. Grayson to run as a primary challenger to Obama in2012!
Edited on Fri Oct-02-09 10:52 PM by grahamhgreen
1) It will make Obama tack to the left
2) It could keep Obama from putting more troops in Iraqistan
3) It could actually make Obama demand the public option or even single payer
4) Maybe we'd even get Bush era crimes trials
5) it would prep Grayson for a presidential bid in 2016! (unless he won!)

Grayson 2012 - any takers?

1. Ted Kennedy for President in 1980!
Surely this will improve President Carter's chances for reelection! Who's with me?

2. every time some DEM pol says anything of merit, somebody here wants to run him/her for president
It's not really wise to pin too many hopes on someone who scored a few points or had a particularly good day.

In fact, it's probably not wise to pin too many hopes on any one person period. There is NOBODY who can ride in and make all our dreams come true.

I'll stick with working on building a dependable TEAM to build on changing the system that took decades to get this messed up. I won't count on any ONE person to undo decades of damage.

26. The Reason Someone Would Suggest Such Is Because... Obama Has BACKED Down And Turned His Back On...
the people who elected him, choosing instead to side with Corporate America... BIG Pharma Insurance... Very easy to see... Getting tougher and tougher to ignore!

5. Should we not find out his position on each issue. Some here
believe this is a mistake we often make. We assume the
person has the same values as we do--then go wild when
we discover he/she do not share our values on some important
issues.

Grayson is great. Let's observe for a while longer.

10. Impeach Obama now!
Then impeach Biden, then Pelosi, I can't remember who is next but just keep impeaching until we eventually get to Rep. Grayson and then give him 10 months to perfect this country and if he doesn't perform perfectly then we can start the impeachment process all over again. I know this is silly but so is the original post.

14. I'd like to see him kick ass & take names in Congress - as a leader!
Congress needs a fearless bulldog - one that can string along a sentence without hemming and hawing. Someone with good communication skills.

But I don't think he's stupid enough to run against Obama, or stupid enough not to support Obama.

but Grayson is just a freshman legislator, he's not ready for a bid to run the show.

Now having him run against Bill Nelson (D-DLC-Fl) would be a good idea.
