SNL Vs. Obama: Sketch Details All The President's Failures Since Taking Office (VIDEO)
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/10/04/snl-obama_n_308979.html

"Saturday Night Live" opened its show with a particularly harsh send-up of President Obama last night. The critique focused on failed promises, as a checklist repeatedly appeared to the right of the screen that had "NOT DONE" checked off next to the following categories: global warming, immigration reform, gays in the military, limits on executive powers, torture prosecutions, closing Gitmo, withdrawing from Iraq, improving the status of the fight in Afghanistan, health care reform, etc.

13. Sounds good, but rising unemployment and stagnant wages seems to contradict it
Insignificant tax cuts don't mean much when wages are flat or in far to many cases gone - and its awfully hard to think of the middle class being helped as its numbers decrease.

5. Yes, there is. Quite long and many good things. I hope the compiler
will put it up here or someone can find it. Sorry I couldn't produce it but it does exist.

14. How about - Kyoto Treaty?
Or overturning quite a few bad Bush era environmental laws?

I'm sure it you put the least amount of effort into it, you could come up with a positive list on your own...

16. You try cleaning up after an elephant has been shitting all over the place for 8 years!!
It takes a pretty big shovel and you don't shovel up the shit overnight!!

8. Fred Armison has the look, but the voice needs work...
but I guess if his isn't that deep, it might be hard to fake and not sound stupid...

But yeah, it's kind of sad how few of those things have seen any progress, simply because republicans kick and scream and hold their breath.

9. What did you expect, a rundown of actually funny SNL sketches
in the last say, 20 years? Needless to say there is no such list.

12. What was the deadline and how do they figure it?
What was their definition of "done?"

Sounds not funny, and simple minded, IOW, republican "humor."

15. Remember all that B.S. ...
"Every time Gore says 'Count ALL of the votes!', the stock market tanks. When George W. Bush wins, the stock market soars!"?

That was before 12/12/2000 ... after that date, the stock market took its relatively slow sinking ... which, suddenly, was Clinton's fault, not "the new President"'s fault ...

Now, you realize, the DOW went from $7949.09 (the day after Obama was sworn in) to currently $9487.67 ... hardly "tanking" ...

(yeah, I'm going to get the usual "But the DOW doesn't really reflect ...", but gee, wasn't the Dow their idea of showing how well someone did?)

17. I am all for holding our elected officials accountable, whether I like them or not
We can never forget that they work for us and that we used our time and energy to give the honor of holding the job they do.

Not about to go easy on someone because they share the same party name with me :)

18. It was right on the money - he hasn't done anything for the last year.
When they close GITMO, I'll believe it when I see it.
When they pull the troops out of Iraq, same deal.

Maybe he can hold another beer summit.
