Here's some "code words" that sum up the Republican stance
although they don't have the same "emotional impact" that "Socialism" and "Nazi" do, they should. Because they are the creeping Philosophies that are trying to undermine our Democracy.

The first is "Social Darwinism", and the second is "Straussian".

Social Darwinism is an old racist concept in new clothing. The basic concept is that a person who can succeed in the Free Market using their wits and talents can pass along their wits, talents, and experience to their progeny. Basically, the Rich are Rich because they are better than you. If you are poor, then it's your fault because - well, you're just not as "good" as the Rich are. This is proven simply by the fact that they are rich and you are poor. Period. If you were as smart or as good as they were, well, then you would be rich, also.

Actually, this is a very old concept. Remember, there was a time when only people of "Royal Blood" could rule because - well, you know.

We had a Revolution against this very concept, and inspired other countries to rebel agaisnt it as well. In fact, we have a giant sculpture given to us by another country simply because of the inspiration we gave them to rebel against the entire concept (The Statue of Liberty, given to us by the French, if you are ignorant of our country's history). And yet, via Corporate Entities we have managed to perpetuate the power of Social Darwinism, if not the concept itself. Today, many (mostly Conservatives) try to maintain this same philosophy and disdain the poor and increase their own power simply because they believe they "deserve it" using the concept of Social Darwinism. Some may point to Ayn Rand's works and call thmeselves "Randians", but make no mistake - they believe they are "entitled" to special privilages because it is their "birthright" - because they believe that they are "better" than the average person simply because of their birthright.

Never mind that the majority of them are spoiled brats and could never repeat the accomplishments or survive the travails that their ancestors did - they are rich because they are "better than you". Not by effort, but by birthright. Just like Royalty of Old.

So much for Social Darwinism. Now, for Strausianism

To be honest, in the current atmosphere I could almost advocate Straussian philosophies. Basically, the Leo Strauss school says that the average person is just too dumb to know what is best for them. So, the government should be run only by the "smart people" who have been trained in politics and know what is is right for you despite yourself. In other words, sit down and STFU and trust me because you're too fucking stupid to know what's good for you.

The problem is, that's great for YOU, but how do I know you are looking out for me? Maybe you are smarter than me in some areas, but how do I know you aren't just lining your own pockets and screwing me in the process?

Bottom line, the Republican Party is supporting Social Darwinism and Straussianism. Whether you agree with the Dems in Congress or not, at least they are engaging in open debate.
