The Republican/CONservative bull message is, "you liburals would go out and hug osama." Of course that is a f*cking lie. The Republican party helped osama bin laden.

12. Osama actually said he succeeded beyond his expectations |
|
in one of his videos several years ago. Then he was referring to the WTC and that he expected damage but never collapse. I would bet NOW, he's astounded at how this hugh wealthy Country has been nearly destroyed by their fears. I don't think he has to do anything ever again. Just a viedeo once in a while.

Had we just gone after Bin Laden via international connections we'd be minus two wars and a tanked economy. Bush did Bin Laden's work for him.

Mostly because I wait till facts are verified. Rumors are overblown big time.

Bin Laden was really just a useful pretext for Republicans to do precisely what they wanted to do anyway. The signals were fairly clear, even before 9/11, that the Bush administration was going to squirrel its way into Iraq one way or another.
The financial corruption and corporatism that created our current economic collapse has very little to do with Al Qaeda.
I think where Bin Laden did the most damage was in the degeneration of America's image before the world. Guantanamo, torture, the security state. Those were the creatures of Cheney's fevered, fearful mind in the wake of 9/11. However, I would argue those impulses were always in the Right's psyche. Again, the excuse to go down that path presented itself in Bin Laden, but I think we were well on our way to it long before anyone heard of Al Qaeda.

of our own making. NO! This does not make us safer back in the good ole USA given that branches of al Quaeda are GLOBAL.
How bout we stop pissing them off by occupying ME sovereign nations?
That's a good start.

22. Nah. Bush was already elected. |

Manufacturing had already been outsourced.
And so on and so on...
The damage corporate greed has done to our nation puts Bin Laden's efforts to shame.
Bin Laden killed 3,000 people. The insurance companies alone kill 10-100X more than that every year.

the 80s. There's a lot of things Sec. Gates has had his dirty mitts on.
Obama should fire "Iran-Contra" Gates third - right after he tanks "Lies about Tillman" McCrystal and "What suicided Colonel" Petraeus. All three of them are FILTHY ... just VILE.

31. Pretty much agree. Play with too many snakes too long and you'll get bit |
|
I'd slide on Gates for a bit longer to avoid the complete chaos and mitigate the backlash of shitcaning Petraeus and McChrystal. After the mid-term I'd dump Gates and bring in someone that can be trusted like Clark or Sestak if he doesn't make the Senate.

What came first BushCo's desire to take this country down or Bin Laden?
My feeling is that Bin Laden and 9/11 was a convenient excuse for BushCo to decimate this country.
I will forever blame all that has happened to this country on BushCo & the Repugs.

As noted on the Daily Show, Al Qaida hates us for our freedoms, so the Bushistas set out to eliminate that problem by destroying our freedoms. ;-)
