Guess what, this will be framed as an immigration debate, not gun control

If the initial stories about the shooter turn out to be true, namely that the suspect is of asian decent in the country on a visa, the debate will be about immigration and not guns. Actually, the gun debate will be rendered moot since legally the suspect involved wouldnt have been able to purchase the fire arm legally anyways. If he was in the country on a visa.

....We know nothing yet about the shooter, his background, where he came from....in fact are we even certain he is not a she? No facts have been given, only rumors and vague suggestions from the Campus police. Are campus police even real police officials? This whole incident is being clocked in secrecy and a news blackout.

Since the pistols were apparently obtained illegally on the black market, the gun-control angle may not be as prominent as the immigration angle. Which means we had better brace ourselves for yet another round of racist and xenophobic attacks in our own nation.
