Seeing the war cost numbers, at some point we have to say that a certain number of terrorist attacks |
|

are acceptable. I don't see how we can just keep spending and spending on this. There is no way to justify the cost compared to losses in potential attacks.
edited to add: The economy would adjust to a number of attacks per year.

1. moreover, there will likely be fewer terrorist attacks |
|
If you will change to a tactic of building up the country instead of bombing it to oblivion.

The children we are bombing today will be the terrorists of tomorrow. |
|
That is how they are connected.

3. If half of the money for the wars went to intelligence and police work, |
|
any potential terrorists attacks would be dealt with for what they are--mass crimes. Most would be prevented.
The real cost of the Endless Wars is recruiting future terrorists.

7. "war" should never have been the response to 9/11 in the first place. |
|
an act of war is perpetrated by a nation, not an organization of criminals.
by declaring war- the cheney misadministration elevated and legitimized alqueda from a bunch of thugs to an actual enemy.

9. Even if you cut out the war, just all the money wasted here on police and such. It's not worth it. |

8. The real enemy is within our gates |
|
I heard Al Q was being defeated in Afghanistan and now moving to other countries instead. You have to ask youself what I have I done to deserve a terrorist attacking me? I haven't done anything?
Why doesn't China do more in Afghanistan?
I think the real enemy is actually within the gates.

10. we're completely happy living with 35,000+ killed each year by drunk-driving terrorists in the u.s.- |
|
so a few suicide bombings here and there shouldn't be any big deal.
