19. No such thing as bad publicity
Either way he knows he comes out a winner--he'll either get his team or if he doesn't he gets more things to rant about and bond his acolytes to his show.

5. please don't insult the fat, the ugly, or the drug addicts
Edited on Wed Oct-14-09 05:31 AM by Syrinx
The man is a hateful, racist asshole.

I know fat people that are great. I know ugly people that are great. And even a drug addict or two that are nice.

There are no racist assholes that I would dare defend.

And I don't condone violence, but if I saw Limbaugh in public, I admit, I would be tempted to slug him.

21. No kidding
I'll put together the first draft of the request for production free gratis.

Limbaugh is, as usual, just blowing smoke. His pals in the media are assiduously carrying his water so we all know that Rush is having a temper tantrum over having his hateful words being quoted back at his smug mug. But if he actually does sue, what's his cause of action going to be? Definition of character?

8. Seriously, aren't his "Top Ten" quotes well documented....

via his radio show -- sometimes with video as well?

I think there is some multi-million dollar bet going on behind the scenes, with Rush seeing how far he can push the envelope as far as seeing just how BATSHIT crazy and stupid his listeners are. They heard this shit with their own ears and now he's denying he ever said it and blaming it on librul media?!

Yep. That makes sense for that crowd.

Oy.

Some of Limbaugh's listeners are escalating from dittohead to beckerhead and Limbaugh is trying to make more noise to be more obnoxious.

12. And Joe Scum and Mica
are taking his side while it was OK for the swift boating of Kerry, the destruction of Cleland and the on going lies about Obama's nationality.
Note that Joe Scum was warning the left about repeating rumors, but it was perfectly OK for the Joe Scums of M$Greedia to call Americans unpatriotic for challenging Bush and Cheney's lies, but don't you repeat what Rush said and now denies that he said.

18. Agreed. Total hypocrisy
But that's not new for Joe. Look at all the lies the MSM spread about Al Gore in 2000. Don't remember Joe yelling about that. Now he's defending Rush to get back in his good graces after last week.

17. and when they play his quotes in context on video and in audio ...
he'll sue them for not paying him to use his un"intellectual property" ...

which will fund his lawsuit against the NFL Republican majority for not letting him buy a team because they heard what he actually said ...

23. Anybody...ANYBODY knows...
...that if you open your yap without engaging your brain (all too easy to do if you're...er...operating under the influence of some substance) all kinds of bullshit, stupidity, nonsense and frank idiocy is going to fall out.
Stuff that when you sober up makes you sink into the ground with embarrassment. You wish you'd never said it and wish you could forget it. You hope the people who heard you were so stoned that either they don't remember...or if they do, are kind enough to accept that you were 'under the influence' and so let it slide.

Problem is, when you get in front of a gold-plated microphone and do this kind of shit day after day after day...well, people are not only not going to forget, but they're going to RECORD your little faux pas.
No use saying "I never said THAT!" because you did...and it's come back to haunt you...and "I don't remember saying that!" only makes you look like a fool.
First, there you are ON RECORD, and secondly, the Amazing Goodling/Gonzales Loss-of-Memory trick is still somewhat fresh in a lot of people's minds.
Not everyone has the attention span of a gnat with ADHD (unfortunately for you).

And a word of advice..."That was taken out of context!" only works so many times.
You know the old saying about the pitcher and the well...once too often and that excuse won't work anymore.

27. Good.
One thing the media haven't done, at all, is point out how far out of the rhetorical/political mainstream this jerkoff really is. If he wants to make a national news story of the most racist, hate-filled, homophobic, incoherent, stupid and divisive radio moments of his long-festering career, a LOT of people who might be on the fence will quickly come to understand that he doesn't speak for them.

28. What is it with rightwingers -- don't they realize that video and audio recordings are forever?
How many times has a rightwinger said "I NEVER SAID THAT" and a little trip to the vaults reveals he said and more.

Edited on Wed Oct-14-09 11:19 AM by aint_no_life_nowhere
what his real quotes are? I'm sure the last 20 years are just a blur to him.

Incidentally, during that recent interview on the Today Show by Jamie Gangel, Limbaugh said that he isn't bothered at all about what other think about him or say about him. If that's true, why bother even mentioning lawsuits over what he did or didn't say?
