I may be wrong, you may be right... |

but I do think that they're going to run Liz Cheney for President in 2012. I also think the media suspects the same, i.e. giving her the exposure she needs to get her/darth's opinions out there. The extreme right would love this, namely Faux's Billy Kristol and since Sara has pretty much blown her chances, the repubs want a "first" something, anything. First woman POTUS Cheney would make her old man's heart/machine zip right along. She's a nasty bit of work, never has her facts straight and the media seems to bow down to her. Yep, I could be wrong and you may be right in thinking I'm crazy on this but it will be interesting to see what comes of my radical thinking here. She does fit the profile of a repug perfectly....

Yes Mz.Liz could be the one. If Americans want 100% war 24/7/365 she would be the candidate. I would have to poke my eardrums out before attempting to listen to the debates. Liz Cheney exemplifies the perfect form of evil packaged in a woman's body.

7. Hardly. The Republics are desperate. They'd run Mr. Ed if they thought he might win. |
|
I would also hope President Obama will no longer be so polite at the 2011 debates, regardless of what or who they choose to run. It would be refreshing to hear him use the word "lie" against a Republican opponent.

6. Yeah, but does anyone like her or identify with her? |
|
Sarah has her followers swooning over her because they think she's one of them. Who in the world likes the Cheneys? They aren't fun people and I don't think they have many friends, though they may have supporters.
They may try, but I think Liz Cheney will just end up rubbing everyone the wrong way.
On the other hand maybe they're setting her up as Vice President. Just like Daddy, with every intention of acting just like him since he'll be telling her what to do.

9. I remember a lot of feminist silliness back in the 70s |
|
about how women in positions of great power were going to bring about fundamental changes in the way the country operates, making it more humane and nurturing, because of course women were far superior to that male 50% of the human race.
The women who were allowed to succeed into positions of great power, alas, were generally of the Schlafly, Cheney and Palin variety, women who were happy to use everything we fought for but determined no other woman would be able to use it.
I'm almost grateful these high profile female monsters exist, it relieved us of an awful burden. Being the morally superior half of the human race was exhausting as well as impossible.
Lynne Cheney would put an almost human face on the GOP, though, and she's a neocon's dream, someone who would probably allow her husband to dictate much foreign policy while her domestic policy would maximize cruelty toward the American people in the name of capitalist purity.
Fighting her would have to include fighting her husband, something that will make many feminists uncomfortable, but is entirely appropriate in a right wing marriage where lip service at least is paid to female submission.

especially in that family. The bad seed seems to breed true, doesn't it?
As for silliness, it was silly. We produce monsters, too, and our monsters are the only ones the PTB allow to succeed.

16. Perhaps you need to reread the post |

because I clearly defined the silly part.
The operative word, in case you still can't manage to understand, is "part."

It may be that you just did not express yourself clearly. Maybe you did not mean to call the early feminists 'silly' and state that they believed they were 'far superior to the male 50% of the human race.' But that is how it came through to me.
