Poll question: have you or anyone you known gotten swine flu?
Just curious to know how wide-spread it is in the DU community since it seems to be everywhere else now.

I think I might have had it during the initial spring outbreak but never got it tested. Stayed home from work and was fine after a couple days.

1. Actually..
My friend's niece got it while visiting SF, and she
recovered.

I didn't really know her niece, so I'm not sure it counts.

I'm not getting the vaccine. I think I might be immune
because of all the flus I got when I was young. At least,
that's the hope....

3. that's kinda where I am
debating whether or not to get it as well. I've had my fair share of colds and I hope I've built up an immunity to it. If I did in fact have it last spring, I loaded up on medicine and that did the trick.

2. Teenager Has It.
The daughter of someone in our office buiilding currently has the swine flu. The mom has opted to stay out of the office to take care of her daughter. I'm thankful she wants to take care of her daughter, and grateful that she's trying to minimize the spread. Kudos to her employer for allowing her to work from home this week.

4. that's nice of them
employers are definitely relaxed when it comes to using sick days now. Better be safe and have 1 person stay home than having the entire office be forced to stay home and lose all that productivity.
