A suggestion to our dear Republican friends: Why not celebrate Republican Earl Warren? |
|
Earl Warren was a great man, who really knew how to reach across the aisle. He was perhaps one of the greatest Republicans in our history
In fact, he was simultaneously a great Republican, a great Democrat, and a great Progressive -- in 1946, he ran for governor of California not only on the Republican party ticket, but also on the Democratic and Progressive party tickets, having secured all three nominations
Lauding his integrity, uprightness, and courage, President Eisenhower put him on the Supreme Court, where he soon won the hearts and minds of freedom-loving Americans by finding segregation and miscegenation laws unconstitutional and by supporting the rights of the accused in criminal investigations and trials
So dear Republican friends, why not celebrate Earl Warren? Republican, Democrat, Progressive, American! :toast:
