Mary Landrieu (D-Health Ins.) just claimed that her voters are uninformed.
Just now on MSNBC, she was talking about her opposition to the public option and her love of the "free market", when she was confronted with the fact that the majority of voters want the public option. Landrieu then claimed that voters don't know what they want and said that when voters hear "public option" they hear "free health-care".

Obviously, she thinks most of the Democratic party is composed of uninformed idiots.

1. I suppose Senators would be from Health Ins. while Congressmen are from Aetna, BCBS, etc.

I love it!

19. I must admit,
I thought she was a Democrat. I am so ashamed. If we do not have a real Democrat running, I will stay home for the first time.

I'm so disgusted with her. I think she's the reason NOLA rejected her brothers run for Mayor.

9. I saw that....
and it really pissed me off. She was so condescending to us poor ignorant folk, who just want freebies from the government. Yes, someone needs to run against her in the primary.

10. So if Landrieu's voters are uninformed, surely they don't really want her representing them!
Really...if they're that stupid surely there must have been a better choice that the uninformed overlooked!

13. when abcnews showed clips from a dc healthcare protest last week...
they showed one woman holding a large sign that said "FREE HEALTHCARE NOW!"

that kind of message is not a very good one for our side to send, and the image is a good one to use against it.

NOBODY should have illusions of "FREE" healthcare, because that's NOT what even a single payer system would be.

universal healthcare isn't "free" healthcare, and a single-payer system would be funded through taxes- in that sense it may end up being "free" to some- but that definitely isn't a selling point to such a system in this country.

16. Mary, Mary Mary, what would your son Jesus have done?
Thrown the for profit money changer "health" insurance corporations out of the Temple!

Medicare for everyone from the cradle to the grave and few people are so stupid as to believe that's free, but at least that would be logical, efficient and functional, not to mention the moral thing to do.

this republiCON bitch trying to pretend that she is a Dem..She always votes and voted with the RepubliCON then as soon as she thinks she has some competition she starts pretending to work with the Dems then after she wins back to the party she really belongs to.

Also,Evan Byah needs to be targeted he goes on cnbc and agrees with the republicon hosts on everything and talks against the Dems..Every since the election he has tried to block everything the president wants to do and then starts his little groups of bluedogs..Add,Conrad,Baucas,and both of the Nelson's to that list..

21. If her voters are uninformed, perhaps she should look in the mirror
to figure out why. Mary, it's part of YOUR FUCKING JOB to keep your state well informed about issues.

23. Mega-failure of leadership, Ms. Landrieu? IF they are uninformed
it's the fault of the so-called leadership they've elected. Leadership is about educating and empowering, so I guess she needs to get really, really busy. She might want to stock up on No-Doz and get some good help.

25. There are people out there who do hear "free health care"...
...when they hear "public option". Democrats and Republicans alike. In any event, there needs to be a lot more information put out on exactly what public option means.
