2. People who plan to ever retire and don't have a guaranteed pension
and rely on their 401Ks - some DUers want you to FAIL and never regain anything you lost

8. it's the DU mental disease
how many people were whinging when the dow was in the 7,000's. that was bad. and oh so many posts about decimated IRA's and other accounts

now, that the dow has had a HUGE run up, and these accounts (on average) have seen about a 40% rise in value. it's a BAD thing.

fwiw, i'm a daytrader, and i am short the dow from the close today. i have a stop loss . i'm willing to risk a small loss for chance of a big gain. bought some puts about 6 months out as well.

but there are many people who are literally MUCH better off now with the dow @ 10,000 than with the dow at 7,000

but the same people who decried the selloff are now angry about the retrace . lol

i've taken a fair amount of profits and have added a short position.

iow, i'll make money if the dow retraces anytime in the next couple of months.

13. I wish that I could get excited about it, but I had to take all of my money out earlier this year.
I'm happy for the people that will benefit from this, but after being out of work for 18 months, I'm not filled with glee.

They can't keep giving away free money to the big banks to gamble forever.
