If I wanted to know what racist un-American assholes thought, I'd read their websites. Why is it okay to post cut 'n' paste jobs from over there? Should I start doing the same from Stormfront too? Are you guys interested?

Is it that time of month, already?

9. WTF?
You can't take an honest swipe at cons without insulting women?

If you need to compensate they have pills for that now.

Only women have cycles???? Really? Not in my world, they don't. Lots of things have monthly cycles...Including posting about why people post about free republic. But since you just joined A WEEK AGO,that FACT would be lost on you. :eyes:

Please tell us then what male monthly cycle you were referring to.

You need to grow-up if the only source for your metaphors comes at the expense of other people for their physical attributes.

That you apply it to people without regard to gender doesn't make it less sexist. As a female I'm sure you understand what the phrase means, but just in case:

And note: There is no reference whatsoever to a woman's menstrual period. You guys. The silly season is truly upon us.

It is a fact that about once a month, someone posts about why people post about freerepublic. I made a joke about it. Sorry if that offended you. Sheesh.

On edit: Maybe you can point out, what was so nasty in my post? Am I THAT nasty that I don't see it? Because, honestly I don't.

Another edit: I only get nasty and attack when I have been attacked first. People who can't take it shouldn't dish it out. Because, I'm not the one.

menstrual cycle and that's all it could possibly mean? How stupid is that statement? According to the dictionary, it has no specific reference to a period. You're just making it up. I guess you can now take up your poutrage with the dictionary publishers because apparently, they believe the word to have the same meaning as moi.

I also post things from Free Republic that show the level of racism and violence among the right wingers because I think many liberals don't realize the breadth and depth of it.

I have family who are freepers, and frankly, their rhetoric, gun collecting, ammo stashing, hate-speak are very frightening.

39. I have an idea! Let's all make our lists of things we don't want to read here
For example, I don't like seeing titles involving animal or child abuse in them.

Someone else probably doesn't want to see titles that include curse words

Another person might not want to read about police abuse...another might not want to read about things involving disease or medical procedures.

You see where I'm going with this?

We all have our dislikes. You think you're the only one bothered by something? If we all got together and demanded people stop posting stuff that bothers us or pisses us off, then there wouldn't be much to talk about or read here, would there?

When I see a title that bothers me, I click on the little "ignore thread" box and refrain from commenting, or even reading the thread.

Now, how simple is that, I ask...

Hint: If it says "Freeper" in the title, DON'T open it. Click the little box that will hide it forever. That way you won't get pissed off and end up embarrassing yourself by complaining about something that's easy to deal with.

:+

I don't really mind the freeperville posts as much since they are actually directing people here towards something that is worthy of reading or laughing at over there.

Much more annoying is the "Latest" page which each morning pretty much reads "HEY JOE SCUM....MIKA....MORNING JOE....HEY JOE SCUMBUCKET....MORNING JOE.....JOE....MIKA....MIKA.....JOE SCUM......MORNING JOE..." with zero information or anything even remotely resembling anything of interest.

People just like to hear themselves talk. Only in writing and on a message board.

from a very old saying that I am surprised you are not familiar with. It goes like this: "Know your enemy."

It is wonderful to have good ideas and little tolerance for crap, but if you don't know what the opposition is doing to oppose your ideas, and check them out every now and then you'll find yourself buried under a load of crap, and wondering what hit you.

Ignore them, or at least don't give them affirmation by bringing their shit to DU.
They will get tired, and go find some small animal to torture instead.

51. I think it was my thread about the freeper meltdown over Rush not getting to buy the NFL team--
This thread showed up right after I posted some freeper comments regarding boycotting football and sodas--it was rather humorous--though the freepers eventually turned it racist and a call to arms, which is always the direction they take it.

Oh well, DUers must like it because the "freepers boycotting football" has a lot of recs.

57. I never read them, and find them Unrecommend worthy, but don't care otherwise.
I have a "no freeper thread" policy. Don't care what they say. Not going over there to look at it. Don't want to read what they have to say.

I can read the most vile right wing shit here every day, by people posing as progressives. Why do I need to see what the GOPers are posting?!

66. I am fascinated by other cultures and prefer the cut and pastes.
Sometimes it is interesting to check out those peculiar cultures. When I am not in the mood, then I don't open the threads with the Freeper updates.

I prefer the cut & pasted stuff so I don't have to click into that territory. I don't like to give right wing websites or "news" sites more "unique visitor" stats so I appreciate the snapshots I see here.

Just like any other thread-- if I'm not interested, I don't read it.
