Just now watching Outrage. |
I had no idea that Larry Craig was implicated in the 80's of messing around with male teenage pages! Holy cow! I shouldn't be surprised, but I'm surprised.

revalation. I won't say which one because I don't want to mess it up for you.

2. I'm gearing up for a ride. |
So sad (in the first 5 minutes) that people can't just be themselves. :(

3. That's pretty much the gist of the whole show. If everyone would |
come out of the closet, there would be no more discrimination, no more votes against gay rights in Congress, etc.

4. That's what happens when religious zealots have such a huge |
influence over the rest of us. I'm starting to turn the corner on that militant atheist thing Richard Dawkins talks about.

It is completely unbelievable to me that as Americans we systematically deny other Americans their Civil Rights. It makes me sick, it pisses me off and it's wrong. It's pathetic and we should be ashamed of ourselves.
Why do we do this? Because of the ugliness from some freaking ancient book and the vile hate that spews from equally ugly people. If we heeded that book, we'd be believing that the not only is the Earth flat but it's the center of the universe and let's not forget unicorns in every backyard! Most of us would find these beliefs to be utterly ridiculous now, why isn't it it the same with the equally antiquated views toward sex (and other things). It really is about time we shed this ridiculousness.

As much as we've all gone through these past 8 years, I still can't believe what these guys get away with this. I mean really, WTF?????????????

10. On one hand, I think they totally deserved to be outed for their |
hypocrisy but on the other one, I wonder if that's a decision they should get to make for themselves.

11. I haven't seen the movie yet but had Smith expressed anti-gay views? |
He's seemed fairly decent to me, especially since his coverage of Katrina.

12. I don't remember the documentary saying that Smith had expressed |
any anti-gay views at all.
