What world doesn Lamar Alexander live in? |
|
A top U.S. Senate Republican invoked the memory of the scandal-marred Nixon administration on Wednesday to urge U.S. President Barack Obama: "Don't start an enemies list." Senator Lamar Alexander told Reuters he sees the Obama White House adopting an attitude similar to that of the Richard Nixon White House four decades ago, that "everybody is against us and we are going to get them." Alexander cited as examples the Obama administration threatening to strip the insurance industry of its exemption of federal anti-trust laws, "taking names" of bondholders who opposed the auto bailout, its reported aim to "neuter the U.S. Chamber of Commerce," boycotting Fox News Network and "calling out" of others who oppose it. "I'm suggesting to the president that he back up and start over," said Alexander, a member of the Senate Republican leadership. "Don't start an enemies list."
Because if you ask any liberal the one thing you'll hear is "Oh my that Obama administration has been so terrible at communicating a bipartisan message". So on one hand we can't pass health care without making sure the world is given to Snowe. On the other hand Obama has a secret enemies list that he's out to screw over... Suggesting Obama back up? To when? The Bush era when insurance companies raised rates at will, the Chamber of Commerce lobbied to block real science reports, Faux news loved everything the president did... elections have consequences Lamar. Obama is pushing his agenda (liberals would argue not even very forcefully) and exposing in the open those that oppose it. He seems more than willing to let the other side have a say. There's nothing secret about it. That's really what Lamar doesn't like. Obama is exposing his opposition in public and his opposition doesn't want you to know what they are really doing. If he was at all like Nixon in no way would anyone in public say the things his administration said about Faux in public.

a small slight towards a Republican makes the perpetrator of the slight into Hitler, Stalin or similar...

3. 'pukes have declared war on BHO, thwarting, obstructing, and calling him every name in the book, |

labeling him every un-American epithet imaginable, but expect the spirit of collegian bi-partisanship in return with no 'puke-types being called out for gross intransigences. The senior senator from TN needs to get his head out of his proverbial ass. :P
