The military news outlet Military.com is covering the story of FBI linguist-turned-whistelblower Sibel Edmonds as their lead story today.

Report Bryant Jordan's 1,500 word feature includes a background summary of Edmonds' story, which The BRAD BLOG has been detailing for years, and a summary of the allegations she offered under oath last August in her sworn deposition following seven years of "forced silence" under a court-ordered gag due to the so-called "State Secrets Privilege" twice-invoked by George W. Bush's Department of Justice.

Jordan's piece is well reported and includes, for the first time to our knowledge, several forms of denials of Edmonds allegations by some of Bush's key State and Defense Department officials --- such as Richard Perle and Douglas Feith --- who, she says, were participants in espionage plots against the United States in order to share military and even nuclear secrets with Turkish and Israeli government operatives.

Edmonds also offers a very spirited and seemingly common-sense response to those denials (one of which is rather ironic in retrospect) and to critics who maintain she has been offering these allegations due to some form of vendetta...

Here is one example;

My gut feeling is former FBI employee, Ms. Sibel Edmonds, is a good, productive, brave, trustworthy American, who deserves reinstatement and compensation for the wrongs she has suffered from evil, cowardly bureaucrats. The criminals that are responsible for this injustice, certainly including Franklin, Feith, Perle, and the Dickersons, must be swiftly prosecuted.

Alas; it will not happen. Why not? It would be easy to assume gutless leadership at the very top, but there has to be more to it. Time after time we hear of whistleblowers being thrown under the bus... yet nobody lifts a finger.

As an American with decades of military experience, much of it in combat "at the tip of the spear", so to speak, I find this flat demoralizing. How do we change the system so that only decent, brave Americans can rise to the very top?

Finally, I wish to thank Bryant Jordan and Military.com for summoning the courage and loyalty to "making America better" for publishing this very worthy article.

12. Perle and Grossman, Ledeen, Wolfowitz, Cheney

Bush ~ I don't think people following the whole tragedy of that administration needed Sybel's testimony to know what treasonous, criminals they are. Her testimony merely confirmed what many suspected having done any kind of research on them. How they ever got into such positions of power is a mystery. At least two of them were caught (Ledeen and Perle, maybe Wolfowitz, it's been a while) in compromising situations regarding security and had their security clearances taken away under suspicion of spying.

I wouldn't believe a word any of them had to say as I've never heard a truthful word from them ever.

Thanks for the updates, Brad ~ someday I hope that we will return to being a country that abides by the law and that there will be investigations and convictions for the crimes these people committed against humanity, and the American people.
