Hey DU! Re: Goldman Sachs says we need to "learn to tolerate inequality of bonuses" - here ya go:
Want to storm the GS "Bastille"?

Flood their investor relations email box! DU it and then spread the word:

email: gs-investor-relations@gs.com

website: http://www2.goldmansachs.com/our-firm/investors/investor-contacts/index.html

I wrote them to tell them I hadn't heard a comment so tone deaf since Marie Antoinette said "Let them eat cake!".

Allons enfants de la Patrie
Le jour de gloire est arrivé
Contre nous de la tyrannie
: L'étendard sanglant est levé :
Entendez vous dans les campagnes
Mugir ces féroces soldats
Ils viennent jusque dans vos bras,
égorger vos fils, vos compagnes
Aux armes citoyens! Formez vos bataillons!
Marchons, marchons,
Qu'un sang impur abreuve nos sillons.

2. Que veut cette horde d'esclaves
De traîtres, de Rois conjurés?
Pour qui ces ignobles entraves,
: Ces fers dès longtemps préparés? :
Français! pour nous, ah! quel outrage!
Quels transports il doit exciter!
C'est nous qu'on ose méditer
De rendre à I 'antique esclavage!

3. Quoi! des cohortes étrangères
Feraient la loi dans nos foyers!
Quoi! ces phalanges mercenaires
: Terrasseraient nos fiers guerriers :
Grand Dieu! par des mains enchaînées
Nos fronts sous le joug se ploieraient!
De viIs despotes deviendraient
Les maîtres de nos destinées!

4. Tremblez, tyrans! et vous, perfides,
L'opprobe de tous les partis,
Tremblez! vos projets parricides
: Vont enfin recevoir leur prix.:
Tout est soldat pour vous combattre,
S'ils tombent, nos jeunes héros,
La terre en produit de nouveaux
Contre vous tout prêts à se battre.

5. Français! en guerriers magnanimes
Portez ou retenez vos coups.
Epargnez ces tristes victimes
: A regret s'armant contre nous. :
Mais le despote sanguinaire,
Mais les complices de Bouillé,
Tous ces tigres qui sans pitié
Déchirent le sein de leur mère.

6. Nous entrerons dans la carrière,
Quand nos aînés n'y seront plus
Nous y trouverons leur poussière
: Et les traces de leurs vertus. :
Bien moins jaloux de leur survivre
Que de partager leur cercueil,
Nous aurons le sublime orgueil
De les venger ou de les suivre.

7. Amour sacré de la Patrie
Conduis, soutiens nos bras vengeurs!
Liberté, Liberté chérie!
: Combats avec tes défenseurs. :
Sous nos drapeaux, que la victoire
Accoure à tes mâles accents,
Que tes ennemis expirant
Voient ton triomphe et notre gloire!

1. I have a 3 year old daughter
And I have learned to be patient and tolerant with her when called for, but I have also learned when and how to bring the hammer down too.

I'll be damned if I have to be "tolerant" of a bunch of suits with the toddler level "I, me,mine!!" mentality, especially when I'm footing the bill for bailing them out of their irresponsible behavior. Fuck them, it's time to bring the hammer down!! :grr:

2. I think Goldman Sachs paid back their TARP money. They won't be subject
to the new rules if they did. Wells Fargo and some others still owe billions, though.

3. Sorkin, and other Business Journalists say Goldman-Sachs is subject
to the new rules.

The Bankers have a tin ear politically. It is as they do not
realize the money they received while on the"brink" was Taxpayer
money.

More than one indicate they fear Wall Street and the Bankers will
soon be playing the same old games. They do not recognize they
failed and the Taxpayers saved their behinds. If you can believe
the Bankers see themselves as "Survivors" not at all recognizing
with out the Taxpayers help they would be in deep trouble.

4. 'They rationalize to themselves that their personal interests are also
the national interest. What is good for General Motors is good for the USA is the mentality. Goldman Sachs, my mother tells me, has more or less owned our government since the Nixon administration. (I have to take her word for it because I don't know how far back it goes.) Well, we have seen what happened to General Motors. The banks have to run their business so that they don't need taxpayer help. Such a big mistake to have bailed out the bankers' gambles and not the homeowners. It's the homeowners who needed help and incentives, not the bankers.
