1. You know that ridiculous pimp outfit O’Keefe was filmed wearing? Well... he never wore it into an ACORN office. Instead...
2. O’Keefe posed as an aspiring Congressman trying to help a young woman caught up in prostitution and abused by a vicious pimp... They told the ACORN staffers that it wasn’t just her, but many other young immigrant girls that needed a safe place to get away from their pimp.
3. O’Keefe was thrown out of his Rutgers dorm after repeating – and failing to cease using – racial slurs
4. O’Keefe and the miscreants he works with have refused to release full copies of their unedited video. Every production is highly edited; nobody outside their team has seen their raw footage.

So yeah, because I am such a believer in ACORN’s mission and I want as many people as possible to see this, instead of forcing you over to TheCrookedDope.com, I’m posting the videos here:

I thought that outfit was ridiculous, and that he surely didn't wear that into the ACORN offices. Did any of those people interviewing him challenge him on the outfit?

And how sad that our legislators stomp on and grandstand about any whiff of fraud in the social service safety net sector while millions in contract fraud perpetrated by large military contractors sail on by and don't even stop us from dealing with them.

That is part of the apparent meanness of society-- manufactured outrage opportunities-- against the poor.

While blatant war profiteering by Friends of the Bush Gang sailed on through with relatively few outraged speeches in Congress, let alone even a week of intense news chat discussion.

I remember Reagan's day and the mythical "Welfare Queen driving a Cadillac" -- the major outrage that there could be 10% fraud in the welfare system. While that theme was pushed over and over again on TV news chat, I kept wondering-- what about the 90% that really need the assistance?

That's why I get wary when I hear all the talk about "fraud and abuse" in the Medicare system. Does it even come close to the major contract fraud committed by those in the defense establishment?

5. Are you saying . . . ?
Are you saying that Mr. O'Keefe might be playing a little fast and loose with the facts? Oh my stars and garters!

6. I'd like to believe this, but
wouldn't the ACORN workers in the videos have said in their defense that O'Keefe was posing as a congressman? They used the words "not credible", I thought in reference to the pimp outfit.

11. There are many below the radar folks around here
that hate ACORN for encouraging black people to vote and really hate the organization for that. These people will not utter a word if you suggest the same actions should then also be applied to the Catholic Church or KBR.

They hate only one group. The one that helps minorities.
