Charge filed as puppy is given vodka


Iowa City, Ia. — Animal abuse charges have been filed against an Iowa City man who allegedly gave vodka to a puppy.
According to police, Jared Colony, 28, was watching the puppy for a friend Saturday when he allegedly poured vodka into the 4-month-old puppy’s bowl.

When the owner turned up, the dog was unresponsive and barely breathing.

Police said the puppy was treated and barely survived alcohol poisoning.

Well, doggonit, the joke was funny; but the perpetrator deserves to be charged with animal abuse.

11. My little puppy loves beer.

When I finish a brew, the puppy will roll around and play with the bottle trying to get at the little bit left. After watching him lick the inside of the neck for a few minutes, I usually tip it so what little bit is in there he can get to. It's really cute actually and just LOVES it... even though it's only a few drops.
If someone has a beer he'll jump up on their lap and paw at the bottle. :loveya:

HOWEVER... giving a puppy vodka is terrible - especially enough to give it alcohol poisoning.
Personally, I can't believe the dog would drink it.

Seriously though, I'm shocked the pup drank it.

When I was younger, a beer spilled on the floor and my dog ran over to drink it, had one taste, and ran straight to his water bowl to flush it out. Maybe dogs prefer the hard stuff :p
