Senator Stuart Smalley eviscerates a health insurance industry flack.. Beautiful..
"How many bankruptcies because of medical crises were there last year in Switzerland"?

"I don't have that number in front of me but I can get back to you".

"I can tell you how many it was, it is zero"..

1. She tried to stump him regarding cancer survival rates and she failed
He trumped her by being schooled on the comparative studies. She looked like a deer staring into the headlights.

2. The smartest mofo in the room..
It must really sting to get schooled by a comedian.

9. She thought she was so damned smart with that legalistic "I'll get back to you" nonsense and he
totally crucified her with it. It was beautiful!

10. Senator Franken, in his previous job, was a satirist, not a comedian
Not to nitpick, but he'd make that distinction if you asked.

:)

11. He has done both..
I've read his satire and watched his comedy..

But I think he is better known for his comedy on SNL than for his satirical books.

14. True
But I was referring to his AAR show. He always considered himself
a satirist. I suppose I confused "purist" with "public perception".
My bad.

16. Keep underestimating him, bastards.
Al Franken ain't got nothing to lose and he's positively brilliant. This is a man that's played before millions, has all the wealth he needs, talent to die for and a fall-back career every goon on the hill would kill to have. Snark him - he snarks back. He can't be stumped. He can't be rattled. Anyone that attempts to belittle him ends up looking like a fool. He's a gift and we have him for at least 6 years.

threw it back at her....priceless.
