2. it's funny but sad at the same time...
subsidies. lol...
32% jump in real estate sales volume in the hamptons.
unemployment in two digits across the nation.
top 10% are fine, the remaining 90% all need to be subsidied...

thanks for the comic, it made my day (or shall we say 'night')

cheers,

ik

18. NO, it is no the top ten percent....
More like the top tenth of one percent. That's part of the problem in motivating change in this country. Many people think they are way higher on the scale than they actually are. It's like the woman behind the counter at Tiffany's thinking that she is better than you because she sells overpriced jewelry.

7. I miss them too!
I also miss Bloom County.

I suggest "Mutts." The main characters are a cat and dog who are best friends. There are various other characters that you meet. It can be laugh out loud funny, and at times touching. The author alway does a group of panels called "Shelter Stories" that he runs for about a week in its place. They gently urge people to help.

If you want something on the edge, look at cartoonist John Callahan. He is a quadriplegic. Callahan takes no prisoners, and no subject is sacred except he does stay away from crimes like pedophilia and the like.
WARNING: Don't read his work and come back here and post about how horrible he is. You were warned.

"Don't Worry He Won't Get Far On Foot", "Do Not Disturb Any Further," and "Will the Real John Callahan Please Stand Up," are 3 of his books.

16. I also recommend "Non Sequitur".
Danae is almost the female version of Calvin.

any "Calvin pissing on X" is unlicensed ripoffs ...

Watterson did not sell out to capitalism like a lot of cartoonists ...

29. Much of C&H had it nailed two decades before this collapsed
Calvin's attitudes perfectly reflect the attitudes of corporations and executives of today.
