My one bone to pick with Keith
I do not like the way he tries to impersonate some people he does not care for. I think it detracts from the seriousness of the issue he is raising. None of the people actually sound like how Keith tries to make it seem, and it just lessons the impact of what he is trying to say..I understand he is attempting to mock them, but it doesn't work for me.. I guess I am just one of those people that just can't be pleased..

1. I find it funny.
His Lou Dobbs voice cracks me up. Each to his own. :hi:

4. Me, too.
I love his slobbering "Limbaugh". Reminds me of Jabba the Hutt. It's just more deserved mocking of these assclowns. Impersonations are his way of delegitimizing them.

2. Doesn't float my boat, either
which is why I only tune in when he's got a special comment.

The words of scumbag psychopaths who are trying to enrage morons are fully bad enough. They don't need a mocking delivery.

3. I agree with you on that
it puts me off to see or hear anyone mock anyone other that in a comedic situation. I want my news info strait up and full frontal, no bullshit and no jive

5. I think by mocking them when he quotes them, Keith ensures no credibility
or legitimacy is given to their statements. To quote them outright in his normal voice might lend some credence or authority to their statements. By mimicking them, he minimizes any impact their words might have otherwise had.

6. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that is irritated by his mocking.
He is a good newscaster and wastes time with the silliness of his show. I'd much prefer he stick with the news/commentary and forget the rest. He's getting a little old for stoooopid.

13. Keith has seriously cut back on the entertainment/celebrity news during the past year.
I used to always watch the first 30 minutes, then when he got into the gossipy stuff, I'd go elsewhere. Now, I often find he's well past the halfway point before he gets into all that stuff. The lady DJ who used to come on to discuss American Idol was too much for me.

No problem with her, but I can't stand the show, so that was a guaranteed channel changer.

8. I don't take it seriously; if, indeed, it was a good impersonation it would be funny..... instead
it is hard to actually hear the words he is quoting and the thought gets lost in translation. He dropped "keeping tabs" that "his producer", he would say, made him do, so maybe if enough listeners comment on this, he'll drop the shtick. Or maybe not --- in the long run, I guess it doesn't matter.

10. Sometimes it gets a bit self-indulgent and goes to an extreme
but I admit, I laugh. Someone has to puncture these big egos, and he helps deflate them by taking these pompous asses and showing them for what they are.

He also is capable of taking what he dishes out, as he proved when they tried to mock him on SNL, even though it wasn't that good a job. So many of these idiots can ridicule others up one side and down the other, but if someone makes fun of THEM, they whine like little babies. He just laughs and makes self-deprecating jokes.

I like his Lou Dobbs, you are right they never sound anything like the person he is doing but I am thinking he means to do it like that.

12. If some people in broadcasting are impersonating intelligence.
I do not want Keith to give them credibility by using his own voice.

14. I love it, especially his mocking of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck.
He's not imitating them, just making fun of them.
