|
http://www.cbs8.com/Global/story.asp?S=11380452IMHO they actually did a fairly good job of balancing things... Thanks Channel Eight. It is rare I can say that about local media.

2. One thing about those teabaggers, at least they organize and get out there. |

What are we doing? How long will it take for us to get a bellyfull.
There is a palpable fear here on DU. Every thread that proposes marches or civil disobedience of any kind is met with a less than tepid response and the thread dies a quick death.
No one wants to be the first to get their head cracked by police batons, or pepper sprayed, or whatever.
What is it going to take? When will enough be too much?
I hate like hell what they stand for, and I do realize that industry organizes much of it, but people ARE coming to the events.
Again I ask, what are we doing? Sitting in our comfort zones, but are any of us really comfortable? I know I'm not.

3. Hate to point this out, but there have been marches and |
|
demonstrations.... the PRESS will cover the Tea Bag Party Events. They will NOT cover the Peace Marches... at all.
Now I can tell you this, from hearing the complaints from the opposition, they also complaint people don't show either.
Oh and San Diego has had marches, peace marches with the same sized crowd... what happens? Well only 200 showed up, if the UT even covers it.
