Who gives a shit what Lieberman says? It'd be a better bill with reconciliation, anyway |
Let's just stop courting him and the other narcissists. They aren't interested in health care reform. Screw the cop-out opt-out. Screw the public option only being available to 5-10% of the population. Why not go for Medicare for All using 50 votes + Biden? If we fail, at least we'll go down in a blaze of glory. Am I missing something? This would be too unprecedented for the Senate elders? If we got Medicare for All, we wouldn't even have to worry about the pre-existing condition fix being included. The insurance companies ARE the pre-existing condition.

3. There was talk about stripping leadership position from those who opposed Health Care |
I let it slide that Lieberman kept his seat even after campaigning with McCain. And I don't really care if he votes against the healthcare bill, I think we have enough if we go reconilliation.
But if he filibusters then strip his ranks - let him align with the republicans. We dont' really want him anyways.

4. If LIEberman really does filibuster, Reid will likely become reconciled to reconciliation. |
That's an interesting byproduct of Reid's involvement in the "compromise" Senate bill.

5. That's just brilliant! Throw it all out and go down in a blaze of glory... |
with no bill, no reform, and no change.
Just because you don't like Lieberman? Or some part of the compromise?

6. The current "compromise" is an insult to anyone that holds Progressive ideals. |
Without a real, strong public option, it's just a variation of the status quo that continues the reign of the insurance mafia. No thanks.

8. Maybe, maybe not, but what are your options? The point of all this.. |
is to approach universal and affordable care, which tends to be forgotten in the arguments over this or that particular plan.
