Did you get kissed?
A majority of Americans and an overwhelming majority of Democrats want a public option. It has become fashionable to call it a "robust" public option, but that is only necessary to make it clear that it is not an opt-in or an opt-out or a trigger or an only-in-even-months-in-years-following-leap-year type of public option. Democrats want a public option.

"Our" Senate has passed an opt-out public option, which will of course be further weakened in reconciliation.

"Our" Congress will reportedly trot out something less than a "robust" public option tomorrow.

"Our" President's Chief of Staff is trying to sell a "trigger" public option.

You know what's about to happen to the liberal majority as well as I do, and, so, I ask: Did you get kissed? I sure didn't, and I usually do before this happens.

2. Bull...
There's no stopping that train once it leaves the station.

There have been dozens of opt-out clauses in dozens of bills... and they weren't ever used.

See Medicare, for one.

5. Sometimes a kiss is overrated........
Everybody is so afraid of just putting a bill out there that they believe in. They have gotten to the point that they count votes before they make any decision. I say craft a fair bill, put it out there, and let everybody else vote the way they want. At least the people will see what each Congressperson is really thinking. I am getting really tired of all the closed door, behind the back maneuvers.
