What happened to HR676, the Weiner single-payer amendment?
the one Nancy Pelosi promised to bring up for a debate and floor vote in September?

2. The one that is being scored by the CBO since August, it appears that ...
maybe he will be allowed to offer it and maybe not.

:(

3. Well, I guess no one seems to know
it has sort of mysteriously disappeared down the memory hole. I should have known. Pelosi's promises are less than worthless. except of course for the promises she made to the lobbyist associates she has her 'power lunches' with everyday. those are golden!

5. I've had a bad feeling about that amendment for awhile...
something just was not right.

There was a post here in the beginning of August stating that Weiner said the CBO was scoring the amendment over the August recess. When I followed up with his office they told me nothing had been sent to the CBO, there were many inconsistencies and I posted about it several times.

Weiner puts up a website for the public option and I suggested to his office that maybe they should post the SP amendment and encourage people to call the Dem leaders.

It probably took pressure off the Dems, as people continued to wait for the estimate.

6. I can't find a link, but I saw a Daily Kos that Nancy Pelosi...
...decided not to allow any amendments, because she doesn't want Congressmembers put on the spot with anti-abortion amendments from the Blue Dogs.

7. There was a hijacking in the vicinity...HR676 was in the path of the getaway car carrying hostages
The Kucinich Amendment, the Weiner Amendment attempted to intervene...

There were no survivors. They're gone. They're all gone.
