You DO realize there is a group that thinks Palin is actually and really smart?
It just boggles my mind that they are seriously serious. Not hedging, not being wry. Super serious about how smart she is. All of this from one relatively short thread started when Beck announces that Palin is shooting for a 3rd party nomination. "Beck also said he believes Palin is "extraordinarily bright," and that she is positioning herself for a "third-party" run that could win."

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2374255/posts

"I'm leaning palin with Jindahl as VP. Combined, those two have a higher IQ than the entire Democratic Party... "

"She can win the Republican nomination, and do what McCain couldn’t"

"Sarah won’t be going 3rd party. I think she will attempt to fix the crap that is going on right now inside the Republican party"

"I think you all underestimate the anger of the people, on both sides, the tyrannical takeover, and the brilliance of Governor Palin."

.....and THIS was surely a double entendre lol "I hope she runs as a Republican. She can accomplish two things. She can move the Party where it needs to go, and she can win. If she runs as a third party candidate she will lose and take the country with her." and this little innuendo "It's all about entertainment in the end."

someone here is messing with little minds...admit it!!!

or that Reagan could emerge from the political wilderness to become a 2-term President, idolized by almost half the country?

As long as Palin is in public life, she's a threat. We underestimate her at our peril.

23. Palin is a liability. Bewsh wasn't.
Of course, two terms later, the name "Bush" is mud. Therefore, they have no name brands to fall back on anymore.

Trust me . . . if anything's going to motivate Democrats and fence-sitter voters to come to the polls, it's the frightening prospect of President Sarah Palin. We aren't going to become the Plutocracy of the Divided Churches Of America.

They also believe that their fellow dipshits are actually smart and that intelligent folks are the ones who are stupid. Believe it or not, some people actually study this phenomenon.

Contrary to common belief, stupid can be taught, at least to the point where they can recognize their own stupidity.

30. Exactly!
It depends on what one means by the word "smart". I take "smart" to mean "intelligent, well-informed, educated, knowledgeable on a wide range of subjects, articulate in expression, wise". The Palin worshippers obviously take "smart" to mean "agrees with me". What a difference!

It seems pretty clear that the Palinbots themselves are not very smart. But we already knew that!

26. The folks over at Free Republic, though, are a skewed demographic. Those
people are already dangerously Far Right. Their wiring is misfiring. Along comes Palin last year, stepping onto the stage in St. Paul, and the zealot delegates hear her berating Obama's community organizing in metropolitan Chicago and they hoot and howl and stomp their feet. They thought the Governor of Alaska was going to deliver them Jesus' own care package from the Great Wells Fargo Wagon in the Sky. Bill Kristol must have felt like he was being lifted off the earth by benevolent angels into God's lap.

Two weeks later, McCain's polling tanked. And these days, Palin trails two or three Puke contenders by significant margins. She's widely perceived as a cartoon. Her husband is an automaton. What's-His-Name is about to flash his ding-dong to the entire globe, as if the world's populations had never seen a ding-dong before. Palin quit her job because the going got tough and she found she could not replace the spirit of public service the job required with her limitless ego and ambition. She's inappropriately flirtatious instead of issue-savvy and she's vacuously stupid.

That she would appeal to posters on the Free Republic is unsurprising. Let's hope her odds against attaining the Republican nomination remain insurmountable. We're trying to run a country here, and after eight years of Dubya we ought to have learned not to turn over adult jobs to incompetent high schoolers.

New Hampshire. Huckabee maybe wins in Iowa. Romney maybe wins in New Hampshire. But both are vulnerable because there isn't a scenario after NH to seal the deal. It leaves the field open for late-entries by Jeb or even dark horse options like Barbour or __________. I'm discounting Jindal because I don't think he's street legal and I'm discounting Pawlenty because he is yet to reach puberty.

In the best case for us, Palin does poorly in Iowa and poorly in NH and then bails to run as a third party moose-gutting secessionist sort of candidate. She draws just enough fundy nutbags and just enough of the Glenn Beck - Michele Bachmann demographic to doom the GOP ticket and Obama sails to re-election.

No one is advising Sarah Palin that she faces a steep climb to the Republican nomination owing to her cluelessness, superficiality, and stupidity. She doesn't appear to have assembled any sort of "brain trust" or cadre of seasoned pros to shape and guide her candidacy. She spent most of this week attacking what's-his-name for the upcoming pee-pee expose'.

Palin basked in the glow of her undeserved celebrity last year in St. Paul. She likely blames McCain's handlers for "ruining" her chance at power. And more telling, she is not possessed of the self-scrutiny required of accomplished adults in that she appears to have no personal mechanism to admit her own limitations, which are considerable and now public.

33. yes I do...
... all you have to do to see just how stupid legions of Americans are is go to a news site and read the comments that the hoi polloi enter.

Intellectual rigor is completely dead in this country. Folks echo the bullshit talking points they've been taught, such as "deregulation is always good", even in the face of OVERWHELMING IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE that their little meme is 100% bullshit.

It's the silver lining in this depression, a bunch of these idiots roundly deserve the wake up call they are about to get. When they are having trouble feeding themselves I hope they call Grover Norquist or Newt Gingrigh and see how that works out for them.

34. 60% of the population
are visual learners. They are learning about her through her looks, her family arranged around her, and other visuals that place her in a positive light.

If they hear about her, they probably selectively pay more attention to statements that fit their image of her. They don't hear her run-on shit as meaningless ramblings. The short phrases reinforce what they already think.

Mike Deaver and Reagan knew this. When CBS put together a very critical piece about Reagan, they used photos of him with the American flag, meeting people, and he was always smiling.

Deaver later thanked Leslie Stahl, and she was dumbfounded. He told her that their image montage was a positive piece because the visuals overrode anything that was said for a lot of people.

These people are genuine lunatics, filled with fear, superstition and hate.

Just reading their post-droppings reveals how blind and nuts they are. All of which would be fine, except they think they should be running the country. :grr:
