At lease we'll get some watered-down version of forced heath care that will still leave cancer patients screwed. Off the the greatest page with this super positive post!

Edited on Fri Oct-30-09 02:32 PM by LynneSin

Oh and my grandparents who helped take care of my after my father passed away and my stepfather.

But I guess those of us who have loved-ones with cancer just don't give a rats ass about things like this

:eyes:

31. it's one facet of a very large bill. no one is applauding this part of the bill.
someone can also write a new bill addressing this later on. but people are sreaming about this like the dems are purposefully killing people with cancer, that's pathetic and disingenuous.

7. Weeeee, colorful graphics! Ever read anything?
Generic drugs won't be available for cancer patients, Crones disease sufferers and whatever else the drug companies decide to monopolize while people suffer and die. But who cares, let's get perky and ignore reality!

10. Yes I've read alot in the last 2 hours
Including the fact this is just one of many many many forms of treatment for cancer and a developing field.

That congress can pass new bills related to healthcare after HCR - not like they're closing shop after this.

Oh but it's better to make assumptions because hell why bother with anything else.

14. It's posts like these that make me happy we have unrec.
A year ago childish, fit throwing, shit like this would have been bolted onto the greatest page because an army of like minded screamers would have voted it there without the rest of DU having any say in the matter.

Now, I'm free to unrec it.

20. The same type of people
probably laugh at Sarah's (stupidity?) antics regarding her support of Howard and how that ha ha will mean a dem win.

Here we have the same type of stupidity that will lead, undoubtedly, to repugs taking over the country...once again.

33. A reminder of noble goals of which to fight for.
Of course the DOW over 10,000 would be meaningless without job creation and a mainstreet rebound. I'm more concerned with the open government we were promised and the statements about no one being above the law or accountability. Pretty basic stuff.

32. I suppose these are all the things that Obama was supposed to fix
in the span of ten seconds?

like the president really has any control over the DOW? Really? You actually think that? Good Lord!

like the president has the ability to move 140,000 troops and millions of tons of equipment half way around the world in the blink of an eye without jeopardizing their safety to do it?

Yeah, I'd love to see Bush go to jail for war crimes, but it would come at the cost of accomplishing anything else precisely at a time when people are hurting bad and need help -helping them comes before vengeance.

Oh, and the corporate influences in Washington have managed to water down health care reform? Big surprise. I'm sure it's all Obama's fault right?

Obama isn't king. He's got a House and Senate to get around first. And about half of them are bought and sold.

I don't mean to sound like I mindlessly support the president on everything because I don't, but your critique sucks and your self-congratulatory defeatism stinks of shit.
