Edited on Fri Oct-30-09 05:15 PM by The Straight Story
Halloween House
The kids feared him Old, alone Said he practiced magic In his tattered old home
Years have went by Each Halloween he decorates Wanting to remember the joy And they never come
A tome so old he takes from his shelf Knives Pumpkins Candles
This year It will be different This year None shall forget
He carved the pumpkins While chanting from his tome Six hideous beasts He would call forth from his home
Candles lit, placed inside each I call forth Jason Voorhees Now Michael Myers Freddy Kruger
Do my bidding this night Now Pumpkin Head Alien Predator
The flickering lights From the porch danced And from some other world Came the man's last chance
A fog rolled in With it hope and there they stood In front of his porch
Sweat on his forhead Trembling some The greatest monsters Had finally come
They approached Side by side Not a word But evil in their eyes
Shaking he walked to the steps Unsure if should have called up the dead Out of the corner of his eyes He saw some children scoot on by
The creatures moved then in one fell swoop reached up towards him With empty bags wanting their loot
Trick or treat they said Except alien who just pointed to his bag The old man gasped, then smiled As others across the street watched
Come on in! We have candy and games Bobbing for apples And from the porch monster mash played
Lonely no more As they marched on up Together with the old man They danced
Happy Halloween!
