1. You wonder who is in control?
We should just ignore the GOP.

4. The REAL danger to The Democrats....
...is to pass a pathetically weak Public Option that isn't available to The Public, and is so watered down that it doesn't offer any significant cost advantage, but STILL costs a TRILLION Dollars.
NOBODY will be happy with THAT,
AND they will BLAME The Democrats.
and rightly so.

The Democrats would be smart to MAKE The Republicans (and traitor Dems) STAND UP, face America, and vote AGAINST Health Care Reform.

5. Probably the point behind the current setup. "We tried, and look what happened?" (nt)

15. That's exactly right and leads to one of two conclusions,
either they are monumentally stupid, or it has never been their intent to fix anything other than their own futures and fortunes.

I don't believe that they are stupid.

10. The Senate Version of the bill only gives a Public Option to people who have no health insurance.
Edited on Sat Oct-31-09 06:56 AM by Selatius
These people either are employed with an employer who offers no health insurance or people who are unemployed. If you already have private health insurance coverage through your employer, no matter how shitty it is, you are disqualified from the Public Option. This, alone, will prevent the Public Option from becoming a real threat to private health insurance. By instituting this prohibition against people switching from private to public, the bill essentially gives private health insurance a captive audience that cannot leave.

12. 50 billion of mandates to the bloodsuckers
with a few bucks thrown to their stooges on the hill. Did you really think there would be something for the people in any bill out of congress?
