7. I'll start throwing rocks at Maine's 53% anti-equality vote the day Texas get its shit together |
|
I think Texas's anti marriage equality vote was something like 75 or 80%. We still lost, but it represents a form of progress. Too damn slow progress, but improvement nonetheless.

The direct denial of equal rights shouldn't even be in the same category as governorships.

that they should win a single contest is disappointing, after what they've done they shouldn't be able to get one single vote anywhere.

4. My greatest disappointment from yesteday ... |
|
... that there are still some delusional sheepies out there that still seem to believe in Failin, OxyRush and all the RW Hatemongers. Looks like they will just never learn. You know what they say about people who make the same mistakes over and over and never learn from the experience. :eyes:

9. Agreed. Virginia always elects a governor opposed to the White House & Corzine was a jerk. |
|
For the last 9 elections Virginians put the anti-White House candidate for governor in office (although to be fair, 59% is a damn big margin). Corzine had his own issues--everything from his snarky "fat" attacks (These are American voters, Corzine, WTF were you thinking? The party of Fatties is going to be the majority party!) to his monster ego to his failure to deliver a promised tax cut got him kicked out.
The size of the swingback is significant, but this is less than a rout for the Democrats.
