Imus watchers - what are you watching in the mornings now? I'm at a loss. I was accustomed to
drinking my coffee and watching Imus - which didn't take a lot of early morning brain power on my part. I can't figure out what I want to watch now. I don't get local stations that carry Good Morning America, etc.

2. Try C-Span
I never watched Imus, so he wont be missed here.

Washington Journal is almost always the best thing on after 7am. Earlier than that, I'm watching the insides of my eyelids.

8. I've tried C-span. When they have a guest that I'm interested in, it's o.k. But most of the time it
is just ordinary people calling in their opinions on various topics. I don't find this interesting. I don't care for radio shows that have a lot of call-ins. Just not my thing.

But thanks for the suggestion. I will try to keep an eye on it more to see if they have anything I might be interested in

6. What I miss the most about Imus is not hearing him call Cheney a "war criminal".
Edited on Wed Apr-18-07 07:51 PM by livvy
I looked forward to that, and I got to hear it almost every day.

Edited to add a capital letter...I tried to let it go, but just couldn't do it. LOL

11. I have been watching MSNBC as usual, but I am at a loss.
The right-wing callers on C-SPAN drive me nuts, and I cannot stand the network morning shows. I don't want to know about recipes, fashions, or some chirpy person on the street standing outside the studio with a sign. At least Imus had some intellectual substance on his show. This was the only place on television where someone was honest (misguided and offensive as he was sometimes). I miss the interviews, the history, and yes, hearing Cheney called a war criminal. I agreed with Imus about the most important thing in my life: I HATE THE WAR.

About the Democracy Platform

There's an opportunity to build a new, open mass medium of online television.
We're developing the Democracy internet TV platform so that watching internet

17. C-SPAN Washington Journal. 6:00 A.M. Central Time.
I noticed MSNBC now has 'Live' programming on instead of Imus.

CNN now has John Roberts on their Morning show. If I'm up before 6:00, I catch the end of his sjow. He's so much better than the Sosobad and Miles.

18. I have the same problem.
I haven't been watching anything, I just can't stand the network shows and C-Span is OK sometimes. It's a void, I always enjoyed hearing CHENEY IS A WAR CRIMINAL!! Yes, that was my favorite part.

19. Best of Imus
is being broadcast on KCAA every morning from 6-9 pacific time. The station doesn't reach far but you can listen on a computer or get a podcast. It's not new but they have call ins from listeners that can be interesting.

21. me too. there is nothing! Sad to say. Sure C-span - if they have
an interesting guest.

getting rid of him did absolutely nothing - the subject of race was last week's news. Rutger's women getting hate mail. No more platform. No more Imus. No restitution. No redemption. Nothing. Bet even Sharpton can't even get on tv this week. And millions who loved his show - screwed.

what an irony. Guess the sponsers didn't care about the people listening who might have been buying their crap product, the only ones who counted for them were ones who didn't watch. x(

24. MSNBC and Robin and Company (CNNHN)
Which I've always done. David Gregory's pretty good, so I flip back and forth.

I heard CBS radio replaced Imus with Mike Barnicle's radio show? Haven't checked that out yet.

25. Well, it's all CHO-TV now, so there is nothing to watch anyway.
If you've already seen Cho's hit video a few times, you don't need to see it again. But, that's all they are running, over and over and over.

Frankly, I would rather watch Imus, hos and all, than this endless Cho, Cho, Cho we are getting hit with now.

27. amen! Yikes almighty. A random act of violence. Could not
have been predicted, probably. Will not happen again, probably. How much can you possibly bleed (no pun intended) one story? It is totally insane. Meanwhile, 66 US Soldiers have died this month.

All the ultra-wealthy progressives need to pool their funds and start a progressive news channel on cable.
